Calling local artists! The deadline to enter our upcoming May Group Show is running out! Artists 18 years of age or older, who reside in the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District (including Swarthmore College students), are invited to participate in the Annual Swarthmore Artists Group Exhibition to be held at Swarthmore Borough Hall the month of May. 

One or two pieces of original art (paintings and illustration, any medium except photography) that have not previously been exhibited at Borough Hall, may be submitted.  Reproductions will not be accepted. Work intended for hanging must be framed or matted and wired for hanging.  Work that is not designed to hang on a wall will be included in the exhibit only if it can be safely displayed within the available exhibit space. Questions about the suitability of a particular work for the exhibit, or to arrange for delivery of artwork at a time other than specified above, should be directed to Martha Perkins, martha.perkins@gmail.com.

Deadlines:

Completed entry forms are due by Friday, April 29.

The delivery date for work to be exhibited is Monday, May 2 between 5-6pm.

Entry Fee:

A contribution of $5 (cash or check made out to Swarthmore Friends of the Arts) per piece submitted.

Reception:

The wonderful opening reception for all the artists, friends, family and the art-loving public will take place on Friday, May 6, from 6-8pm. The event is and is free and open to the public.

Swarthmore Friends of the Arts is the volunteer organization responsible for the rotating art exhibits at the Borough Hall in Swarthmore.  Their mission is to encourage the free expression of all forms of art by local artists and to arrange for the exhibition of the work of artists for the enrichment and enlightenment of the community.
