An exhibition of original photography by local artist Susanne Fell Adams from Wallingford, will be on display from August 31 through October 1 at Swarthmore Borough Hall, 121 Park Avenue, Swarthmore. Swarthmore Friends of the Arts will be hosting an artist reception Friday September 8, from 6-8pm where you can meet Susanne and view her work. The reception and exhibit are free and open to the public during the Hall’s hours of operation.

The “Reflections” exhibit highlights the abstract beauty we see and may overlook daily. The exhibit is presented by the Swarthmore Friends of the Arts in the Swarthmore Borough Hall venue. Mrs. Adams photography focuses on strong patterns of light, shadow and reflection, which bring to light architecture and other unexpected imagery we might often take for granted. Her artistic philosophy is “to capture the beautiful essence of the unnoticed in our daily lives.” As an art major at Muhlenberg College, her background in tile making, mosaic, jewelry and metal works along with painting have influenced her photographic style. Mrs. Adams continues to grow as an artist, and has exhibited over the years in local gallery showings – most recently at the Media Arts Council Gallery. This will be her second appearance at Borough Hall, “Reflections” is her solo show.

Exhibit hours are M-Th 9am – 8pm, Fri 10am – 7pm, Sat 10am – 3pm, Sun 1 – 5pm.
