An exhibition of original art work by area artists from Swarthmore, Rutledge and Wallingford will be on display from May 10 through June 26, 2017 at Swarthmore Borough Hall, 121 Park Avenue, Swarthmore. The public is invited to the artists’ reception on Friday May 12 from 6 to 8 pm, which is free and open to the public. Live music will be presented at the reception by singer-songwriter Elijah Tucker, raised in Swarthmore.
The exhibit is the 21st annual exhibit of Swarthmore area artists presented by the Swarthmore Friends of the Arts in the Swarthmore Borough Hall venue. The show reflects a wide variety of perspectives, media and subject matter presented by a diverse local group of artists, which includes both amateurs and professionals. Exhibitors include Sydney M. Evans, Brit Ray, Wayne Brown, Jeanne Lovern, Rinal Parikh, Sally Paynter, Bobbie Davis, Kim Scott, Michele Southworth, Carolyn Stockman, Gayle Ann Herring, Clair Oaks, Lora Lavin, Molly Wing-Berman, Jessica Riggleman, Joan Sobel, Tracy Bouvette, Bonnie Ann Burnett, Elizabeth M. Doherty, Diane Cianci, Samina Iqbal, Susanne Fell Adams, Fran Sullivan House, Joseph Tomasso, Eileen S. Morrissey, David Coffin, Conrad Bender and Martha Perkins.
