Our newest exhibition presents the recent photographic work of Wendelin Ray. Born in Vancouver and raised in an artistic household in Swarthmore, Ms. Ray now lives in Media. She studied sculpture, drawing, painting and photography at a variety of institutions, including Syracuse University, University of the Arts, Moore College of Art, and the Community Arts Center of Wallingford. She continues to have a variety of talents and artistic pursuits; these include an enduring passion for photography, which she first learned in the darkroom, though she is now working digitally.
As a photographer, she reports that she gravitates towards cityscapes and seascapes, both in vivid color and in black and white, and that these have been the overall themes of her photography exhibitions. Examples of her work can be found on her website, wendelinhr-photo.blogspot.com.
The exhibit will run from from June 30 to July 25, 2016 with an artist’s reception on Friday July 8 from 5 to 8 pm, all are welcome. The reception and the exhibit are both free and open to the public.
