September’s art exhibit “Water (and the Creatures that Inhabit that Space)” presents paintings by artist Molly Wing-Berman. Her show will be on display from September 3 through the end of the month at Swarthmore Borough Hall, located at 121 Park Avenue.
The public is invited to the artist’s reception on Friday, September 5th, 5-7 pm. Both the exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.
The spirit of play and experimentation are central to Molly’s art practice. Observing birds in their habitats provides her with incredible inspiration; the movement and the color of an animal in nature are truly special to her art. “Rather than rendering a photographic interpretation of a subject or place, I’m more interested in a feeling or sense, blending abstract and realism. I try to intuit how much realistic attention each painting needs to leave room for the viewer to respond.”

The exhibit is free and open to the public. Exhibit hours are M-Th 9am – 8pm, Fri 10am – 7pm, Sat 10am – 3pm, Sun 1 – 5pm.
