July’s Art Exhibit Presents Paintings by Artist Juliana Mansfield

July’s art exhibit “Retro Expressions” presents the artwork of Juliana Mansfield. Her show will be on display from July 2 through the end of the month at Swarthmore Borough Hall, located at 121 Park Avenue.

The public is invited to the artist’s reception Friday, July 11th, 5-7 pm. Both the exhibit and the reception are free and open to the public.

Juliana Mansfield is a fine artist, currently living and making art in southeastern Pennsylvania. She has received recognition for her graphics and printmaking in the past, while exhibiting primarily in New York State’s Hudson River Valley and Westchester County, as well as Northern New Jersey. She is a retired, credentialed healthcare professional and art therapist, who now enjoys making paper collages, paintings, drawings, and paper dyeing. Many recently finished pieces are mounted on wooden blocks. Others are on archival paper. Juliana exhibits on Instagram and has a growing art shop on Etsy. She often derives her inspiration from nature’s colors and textures, and the play of light and movement. Coastal and mountainside travels have provided inspiration and subject matter for her. The contrast of hard and soft, directionality, and positive and negative space are often evident in her work.

Juliana has enjoyed her virtual studies with The London Drawing Group over the past several years. She is a professional member of the Visual Artists Association, the Professional Artists Association, The National Art Educators Association, The National Tutoring Association, and PAA’s facebook-vetted Fine Artists Community. She is a retired professional member of the American Art Therapy Association.
